The World Baseball Classic ( WBC ) is an international baseball tournament. International Baseball Federation ( IBAF ) manage this tournament from 2006 to 2013, and after 2013 it is managed by World Baseball Softball Confederation ( WBSC ) and Major League Baseball ( MLB ).
It is one of the main tournaments of the World Baseball Softball Confederation ( WBSC ). This tournament has players from all around the world, but most players are from the United States and Japan.
It recently existed together with Olympic baseball and the Baseball World Cup as IBAF-endorsed competitions, however, baseball has not been on the Olympic program since 2008, after it was removed by the International Olympic Committee in 2005.
